Just 200 meters from your accommodation, Wild River Watch runs bird and nature river tours. With over 20 years’ experience, Ian and Alex offer a custom-built boat specific for bird watching and nature photography. They offer sunrise and sunset cruises to fully capture the natural beauty of the Daintree River. Private tours can be arranged as well. Species often found include Great-Billed Heron, Black Bittern, Nankeen Night Heron, Papuan Frogmouth, Sunbirds, Wompoo Fruit Dove, Shining Flycatcher, just to name a few. Crocodiles, pythons, tree snakes and other wonders await to be found.

The iconic Discovery Centre features the famous 23 metre Rainforest Canopy Tower, spectacular aerial walkways and boardwalks.  The Centre has informative audio guides in 8 languages.  The Discovery centre is the home to many rainforest reptiles, native fish displays, and is a hot spot to view cassowary whom frequently roam the grounds.  There is a mini theatre, interpretive centre with touch screens and all ability access for prams stroller and wheelchairs.
